gideon's bakehouse - disney springs
The legend of Gideon's Bakehouse has grown from a whisper to a scream over the years, and the throngs of fans willing to wait hours in line for their (nearly) half-pound cookies is proof of their allure. My photos would have serious work — the awe-inspiring millwork and carpentry that transforms the space from a storefront to an experience.
The space is naturally very, very dark — to illuminate it would require a delicate touch. The day of the exterior shoot, mother nature set the mood with fast-moving clouds and rapidly declining weather. The interiors required me to expand my palette of techniques: tilt-shift photography; multiple exposure blending; and high-dynamic range compositing. And patience. So much patience.
