Wherever there’s a fight so hungry people may eat, we will be there.
One of the greatest honors of my photography career was volunteering with World Central Kitchen during the Covid-19 pandemic. We handed out over 20,000 meals to first responders, hospital staff, and anyone in need of a fresh meal in the midst of this global crisis.
Then we supported the 2020 early voting efforts throughout Central Florida, handing out thousands of meals and water to people that had to wait for hours to cast their votes. All while supporting local chefs and restaurants, who were trying to keep their businesses afloat during these critical times.
This culminated with the opportunity to photograph Chef José Andrés, the founder of WCK, and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden at an early voting site in Kissimmee.
I stand by on-call for the next time WCK activates in Central Florida. For wherever there’s a fight so hungry people may eat, we will be there.
